The Advantages and Disadvantages of A Standardized Module Approach To Training In Vietnam
The Advantages and Disadvantages of A Standardized Module Approach To Training In Vietnam
Many organizations ask us to design a series of training modules to meet their training needs, quite often these modules are run over a 12 month period. As with most modern training design, the success or failure depends on the quality of the consultation (TNA) between the suppliers the organization / target participants.
For establishing a foundation of management skills, this approach coupled with systematic post training follow up, is often the most cost effective approach. The danger is when companies buy “international” (read American) packages, which have very little linkage to what is really happening in Vietnam.
Here is some practical advice when selecting a supplier to provide your training package, 5 questions to ask
-
What percentage of the training will feature real cases from our company?
-
How many modules can I choose from?
-
Is the material bi-lingual
-
Are support videos only American, or International?
-
Will different modules be delivered by experts in that topic?
